The Victims
This site is primarily focused on the victims in the Atlanta Child Murders. Much of the details are from the books The List by Chet Dettlinger and The Atlanta Youth Murders and the Politics of Race by Bernard Headley, the October 1986 issue of SPIN magazine, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the FBI's Freedom of Information Act files. If you have any information that I'm missing, or any better photos of the victims, please contact me.
Please pay special attention to the Jones and Cater cases, which each have witnesses whose statements should have cleared Williams in trial. This is because the prosecution's case was built upon two main points. The first was he was seen driving slow on a Chattahoochie bridge days before a victim was found in that river. The other is the finding of trilobal green fibers on many victims, which the prosecution argued could have only been from the victims being in Williams' home.
Check out Yesterday's Shame: The Atlanta Child Murders by Cisco Streetlove. He puts together a lot of the facts and makes some sense out of all the "raw data" I have on my site and found elsewhere.
"You shouldn't cry over spilled milk." -former Mayor Andrew Young, of the unanswered questions as to who killed Atlanta's children
